Biography

John Levendis is a Professor of Practice at Tulane University’s Connolly Alexander Institute for Data Science.

Professor Levendis earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Iowa, and also holds advanced degrees in Applied Mathematics and Data Science from Iowa and the University of Texas at Austin.

Professor Levendis has taught at Loyola University, the University of Iowa, Cornell College, the Economics University of Prague, and Southeastern Louisiana University.

His has published econometric research on wage discrimination, economic history, real estate, and finance. Currently, Dr. Levendis’ research focuses on the economic impact of digital infrastructure. He is the author of the textbook Time Series Econometrics: Learning Through Replication, currently in its 2nd edition.
