AI - How it works and how to work with it

Master the use of the most powerful new AI tools through a workshop demonstrating how to use the latest versions of ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and more, to perform different tasks. Learn:

  • How to use the most important new AI tools.
  • Which AI tools to use for which tasks.
  • Best practices for using AI tools.
  • How to personalize AI tools to your preferences and use cases.

AI - Beyond ChatGPT

ChatGPT has such a dominant position in the minds of most people that it more or less = AI. In a recent survey of Tulane students, almost all were familiar with it, while very few were familiar with other major AI tools. This workshop discusses and demonstrates the most important tools beyond ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, NotebookLM, and Perplexity. All of them are better than ChatGPT at one or more important AI tasks. Participants will learn which tools to use for which types of AI tasks, and how.

AI - Latest Developments

AI capabilities have expanded and improved significantly since the November 2022 launch of ChatGPT. This workshop gives an overview of recent developments in AI, demonstrates the latest versions of the most powerful AI tools, and discusses where current trends are leading. Participants will learn what the latest state-of-the-art AI tools are capable of, what to use them for, and how.
