Visualizing a Research Question Data Using Biorender and Flourish
In this workshop, participants will brainstorm strategies for transforming data that answers a research question into a dynamic data visualization using open-source tools. Participants will learn Bio-render and Flourish.
"Getting Started with Stata" is a 1.5 hour workshop designed for participants with minimal or not experience using the software. The workshop begins with an introduction to Stata's interface and file types, followed by instructions on loading and managing datasets. Participants will learn basic data exploration techniques such as summarizing data, creating frequency tables, and generating simple visualizations. The session also covers essential data manipulation tasks, including generating and recoding variables, sorting, and filtering. Additionally, a brief introduction to performing and interpreting linear regression models is covered. The workshop concludes with a Q&A session to address any final questions.
Building a Data Portfolio using LinkedIn
In this workshop, participants will utilize a variety of best practices for building LinkedIn profiles that clearly communicate and showcase their data work, courses, and skills.
