CAIDS AI Workshops

CAIDS offers a variety of workshops focused on real-world applications of artificial intelligence tools, delivered by Professor Knud Berthelsen. These hands-on sessions equip you with practical skills that can transform how you work and learn. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend. Prior experience is encouraged but not required. Please bring your laptop to fully participate in these sessions.

AI Mastery Workshop Series 

Presented by the Connolly Alexander Institute for Data Science (CAIDS) and the Center for Engaged Learning & Teaching (CELT), the Spring 2026 AI Mastery Workshop Series offers three independent, hands-on workshops designed to help you understand, use, and get the most out of today’s leading AI tools.

All workshops are held in the CELT classroom in Howard-Tilton Memorial Library 306 and on Zoom. Please bring your laptop to participate in hands-on activities.

AI: How It Works and How to Work With It: Learn how AI works, how to use key AI tools, best practices, and personalization strategies.

AI: What’s New and What’s Next: A guided look at major AI developments since 2022 and what’s coming next.

AI: Deep Research and Deeper Understanding: Commission full research reports, synthesize findings, and turn results into reusable knowledge assets.

AI: Beyond ChatGPT: Explore tools beyond ChatGPT, including Claude, Gemini, NotebookLM, and Perplexity.

AI: Latest Developments: An overview of recent AI advancements, tools, and emerging trends.

Mastering ChatGPT: Learn Custom GPTs, deep research, agent mode, connectors, canvas, and file generation.

Mastering Claude: Work with Claude on projects, deep research, connectors, and custom writing styles.

Mastering Gemini & NotebookLM: Create deep research reports, visualizations, mind maps, podcasts, and video overviews.
